About us

The Guide to Rough Times started life as a booklet to help young people & their families to find info and places to get help & support in rough times.

No-one wanted the info to get too out of date so it seemed like a good idea to put it onto a website.

A group of volunteers got together, formed a 'steering group' and linked up with others from Education, Mental Health and voluntary organisations and got some funding through fundraising and grants. Eventually the steering group got the funding to get the first stage online...and this is it!

It'll need changing & adding to as time goes on. Also the transfer from book to website might not always work as well as if it had been a website from the start - so please go to our feedback section to give us your ideas!

'The Thanks bit!': to all the steering group members, past & present, to the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, to Hunts Secondary Educational Partnership - who both gave us funds, and to AICH for being the 'host' organisation. But especially to all the young people over the last four years who have contributed to the Guide to Rough Times and who used their own rough time to help others.

Thanks to all those who have donated money to help get the website up and running.
